         MHS2331 Career Planning II

         (Undergraduate, Synchronous, Co-teaching)

         The course aims to prepare students for the transition from campus life to career, ensuring they are well-equipped for inclusive work environments. Utilized a blend of instructional methods, including readings, lectures, and experiential activities, to meet key career readiness competencies as defined by the National Association for Colleges and Employers (NACE).

         EEX4242 Teaching Students with Disabilities in Secondary Settings Session B

         (Undergraduate level, Asynchronous, Co-teaching)

         This course prepares pre-service teachers in today’s secondary classroom, a learning space with diverse learners, including those with disabilities. The course ensures that general education teachers are well-prepared for inclusive settings that meet the UDL standards.

            Teaching Coach for TIR Intern II’s at East River High School. Observed classroom lessons, provided mentoring feedback, and met with Supervising Coordinator regarding TIRs progress.

 

EEX3942: Internship I in Exceptional Education

            Teaching Coach for Student-Teacher-in-Residence (TIR) Intern I’s at United Cerebral Palsy (UCP) Bailes (PreK-8) Charter School. Observed classroom lessons, provided mentoring feedback, and met with Supervising Coordinator regarding TIRs progress.

         EEX 3241: Methods of Academic Skills for Exceptional Students

         (Undergraduate level, Asynchronous, Co-teaching)

         Instructed EEX 3241: Methods of Academic Skills for Exceptional Students at the University of Central Florida. The course focused on evidence-based teaching methods and strategies designed to enhance academic outcomes for students with exceptional needs.

2010-2021

My teaching experience spaned 11 years in public education, starting in 2010 through 2021, all of which were at Mainland High School in Daytona Beach, FL.   Mainland High School is considered a Title 1 school with a population of roughly 2,000 students.  The school consists of students from every socio-economic status as well as high-achieving to lower-achieving students and everything in between.  The student population is exceptionally diverse, and it is a great place to experience life and learn simultaneously. '
